His Holiness Moran Mor Saint Ignatius Elias III Patriarch of Antioch

OUR PATRONS

His Holiness Moran Mor Saint Ignatius Elias III Patriarch of Antioch and the East came to India in 1931 to resolve the differences between the two factions of Syrian Orthodox Church. Despite falling to end schism His Holiness remained in India until February 1932 when he died and the remains of the patriarch were interred in the Manjanikkara St. Stephen’s church. His successor Patriarch Ignatius Zaka I Iwas officially declared him as a Saint.

In the name of the Saint, His Grace Kuriakose Mor Coorilose Metropolitan of Kollam Niranam and Thumpamon Diocese of the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church established Patriarch Elias Charitable Society (Reg. No. 648/’82) in 1982 at Kundara.

Our principal is Dr. Skariyachan CA, M.Com, PGDFT, MBA & Ph.D. He was the senior most professor of the department of commerce, T.K.M College of Arts and Science, Kollam and having 33.5 years of teaching and administrative experience in TKM College and CMS College, Kottayam. He has performed number of official assignments at college and university levels and others such as Chairman, M.Com Board of Examinations, presiding officer for general elections of the state and has many publications at his credit in national and international reputed journals and travel experience in many countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, United Kingdom, France, etc.
